About the Opportunity As our Black & White Event Coordinator and Administrator, you will provide enhanced co-ordination and administrative support to the Black and White Committee whose mission is to raise funds for children who are blind or have low vision. In this role you will also: Support the Black & White President and Committee in organising a full calendar of events, typically between four to five each year. This includes developing invitations, managing RSVPs, assisting to secure speakers, talent, and MCs, as well as creating seating plans, run sheets, and scripts. Assist the President and Committee in establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring services meet quality standards. Utilise social media, digital engagement strategies, press releases, website, and other communication channels to maximise event visibility and attendance. You should have a tertiary qualification in fundraising, marketing, sales or event management or demonstrable practical experience. In addition, experience and strong desire to make telephone calls to supporters, assisting with online ticket sales, encouraging supporters to attend VA events, asking sponsors to support events and for raffle prizes is encouraged. You will also have: Advanced computer skills with previous use of a CRM, Excel, Word, mail merge, etc. Proficiency in the use of email marketing automation and campaign coordination tools.
