I am seeking an experienced Business Analyst - DATA for my client in Melbourne to take up a contract for 6 months with a view of extension. Your day at NTT A detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data modelling, documentation, compliance alignment, and process automation. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal instruction and take ownership of tasks from day one while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to address business challenges effectively. Design, develop, and optimize data models to support business and reporting needs. Ensure data structures align with business requirements and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine data models. Create and maintain data specifications, business rules, and validation documents. Ensure clear and accurate documentation for data processes, mappings, and transformations. What would make you a good fit for this role? Review and update documentation based on feedback from various business areas. Ensure all data requirements align with government regulations and compliance standards. Maintain a decision matrix register to track key business decisions and criteria. Engage with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and refine business logic. Identify, analyze, and resolve complex business and data-related problems efficiently. Apply structured problem-solving approaches to improve processes and decision-making. Work with minimal instruction, proactively taking ownership of assigned tasks. Be ready to hit the ground running, quickly adapting to business needs and priorities. Strong experience in data modeling and data governance. Proficiency in documentation tools (Excel, Word, etc.). Experience in running and modifying macros. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve business challenges. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, Visio, and SharePoint for data analysis, documentation, and process management.
