Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (up to July 2025)Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2Remuneration: $57.11 - $58.98 per hourHours Per Week: 24Requisition ID: REQ550824 Central Coast Local Health District is looking for a caring and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join their Specialist Palliative Care Service at Long Jetty Health Care Campus on a temporary part-time basis. About You You have current registration with AHPRA as a registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of your specified post-graduate qualification. You use effective communication including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and information technology skills to provide complex specialty services and influence innovative nursing practice. You can work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team. Where You’ll Be Working The Specialist Palliative Care Service is based on the Long Jetty Health Care campus. The CNS2 role is required to provide clinical care across different locations, including with hospital patients referred to our consultation service, working in Intake/Triage, or based in the community seeing people at home or in RACFs. Work hours are mostly 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday. We also have an on-call for 1700-2030 hours which is covered by most staff on a rotation basis. Our Service also works day shift hours on the weekend, and staff are usually allocated a weekend every 4-5 weeks only, depending on staff leave or roster patterns. The role works with other multidisciplinary team members to support clients and their families through to End of Life care and death. A current Australian driver's license is a prerequisite.
