Surrounded by natural beauty this city is only 2 hours from Melbourne, allowing an outdoor laid back lifestyle day to day and easy weekend city escapes The Position: Calling for applicants who are interested in Full time or Part time contracts to work as an Emergency Department Physician. The purpose of the role is to provide clinical leadership within the Latrobe Regional Hospital Emergency Department, through active patient assessment, support and leadership of junior medical staff, and co-ordination of patient management in collaboration with nursing staff and admitting inpatient units to achieve ED performance indicators and organisational targets. You will be working as part of our highly professional and enthusiastic team of specialists, junior medical staff and nursing staff providing emergency services. The Hospital is the regional trauma centre with a helicopter on site and has approximately 34,000 attendances per year in the Emergency Department. They have a friendly team-oriented environment and good support from the hospital clinical and administrative units. On offer: Competitive salary package 38 hours per week On call overnight but no all night shifts Study leave is 2 weeks per year on top of 5 weeks annual leave. All after hours work attract a penalty from 1.25x (6pm to midnight) to 2.5x (e.g. public holiday).
