Job Description: Details of the Division and Team: At the heart of Deutsche Bank’s client franchise is the Corporate Bank. One of the key factors that have allowed the Corporate Bank to deliver growth over and above the rest of the market is the bespoke client solutions delivered by the Trade Finance & Lending (TFL) team. The TFL team has 6 product pillars; Documentary Trade, Working Capital Solutions, Lending, Natural Resource Financing, Structured Trade and Export Financing and Project Financing. The TFL team is seeking to expand its Documentary Trade finance business, focusing on bank guarantees/ bonding lines in the Australian market for corporates and fronting limits for sureties/ financial institutions. We are looking for an individual who is motivated and can work independently to help grow the portfolio. As an international bank, Deutsche Bank has a strong branch network and a wide list of correspondent banking relationships globally. We work across a variety of sectors including green energy, commodities, power generation, transportation, telecommunications, construction, insurance, new economy etc., using a variety of products including documentary trade, working capital and lending solutions. The individual should also be flexible, ambitious and open to learning new products as we are a quickly expanding business unit. The candidate will work collaboratively with the other TFL team members and other teams like Cash Management, Trust & Agency Services and Coverage. The candidate will also work closely with our Investment Banking partners due to the fact that the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank work across the same client base to ensure depth in the relationship with the aim to create genuine value for the client and the bank. Able to originate, negotiate, credit approve, document and execute both syndicated and bilateral credit facilities for large corporates (including preparation of information memoranda, credit analysis, term sheets, full form documentation and financial models); Responsible for driving documentary trade revenues within the Australian market; Work with clients and internal stakeholders, often across multiple jurisdictions; Work closely with our global product management team to validate existing product offering and create new products for the Australian market. Support mentoring and training junior team members, graduates and interns. Your skills and experience: At least 7 - 10 years of relevant client facing & sales experience, focusing on Documentary Trade Ability to generate sales leads from client discussions, structure solutions around client requirements and participate in senior level client discussions / solution pitch. Strong credit & financial analysis skills including experience in credit analysis.
