Our central support functions are critical in ensuring our services can provide the best care possible. What we are looking for: Could you provide an excellent level of administrative support and assistance to our Chief Officer, Directors of Children & Families and Assistant Directors to meet the many complexities of their work? Are you well organised, flexible and adaptable, have excellent time management skills, can use your own initiative while being focused on proactive approaches to work, unfazed at managing conflicting requirements and have advanced knowledge of a full range of Microsoft Office tools? This post is working full time, Monday to Friday as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2026. Hours of work can be worked flexibly although supporting young people and families in participation work will require some work in the evenings or at weekends. There is a 5% unsocial hours allowance included in the salary to accommodate this expectation. You can complete work from home or utilise a local office base but you will be required to travel to support in-person participation events or attend team meetings; these will be across Scotland, but predominantly in Glasgow and Stirling. Our work aims to ensure the voices and views of children and young people we work with are at the centre of decision making and policy development within Aberlour and across Scotland. What we are looking for... You will design, organise and coordinate participation activities and events with and for children, young people and families. You will work directly with children and young people, parents and carers, to identify appropriate and accessible ways for them to participate meaningfully in activities designed to help them share their views and experiences. You will also support staff to ensure that all Aberlour services are able to demonstrate the active and meaningful participation of children, young people and families in decision making, policy making and service planning. You will have experience of coordinating events and conducting administrative tasks such as minute taking. You will have experience of working in a social care environment supporting children and young people and will have an understanding of children and young people’s rights.
