In addition to this, you will provide expert technical advice and support to the transport infrastructure functional areas within your location. Accountabilities Include Develop and quantify transport infrastructure design models in the strategic planning, concept, development, and implementation phases of an overarching framework for the delivery of projects. Use sound professional judgement when providing technical advice and support in relation to planning and design processes for transport infrastructure projects subject to standards. This can encompass corridor planning, program development, delivery, and finalisation. Provide mentoring and guidance within the local design group in the use of 12D Model for Design and AutoCAD software and have a demonstrated history of project delivery using these programs. Manage and undertake key components of the planning and design function for transport infrastructure projects to achieve successful completion within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations. Ensure that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that quality management procedures are adhered to. Exercise initiative in the selection and implementation of the most suitable design process for project delivery, including investigating, analysing and conceptualising possible design options to meet project objectives. Assist with the review of transport infrastructure design drawings and documentation provided by external design consultancies. Development of effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery of projects. Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions A minimum three-year, Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or recognised equivalence. A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence Demonstrated Experience with AutoCAD and 12d Model software packages Requirements of the role Uses data and leverages technology to achieve greater efficiencies. Gains insight into issues by analysing the available information in a critical manner. Welcomes challenges in the delivery of work and demonstrates persistence in working through obstacles. Communicates in a clear, succinct and deliberate manner, adjusting the message so that it resonates with different stakeholders. Demonstrates respect and appreciation for legislation and policy frameworks by consistently operating to key standards. Actively seeks feedback and modifies approach to enhance own effectiveness. Undertakes planning and civil design activities in accordance with organisational standards, guidelines and functional specifications. Applies project management principles and methodology to achieve project outcomes.
