Our team The Minerals, Energy and Groundwater Division delivers precompetitive geoscience data, analysis and tools to government, industry and communities, informing exploration and sustainable resource development decisions. This includes the landmark $3.4 billion, 35-year Resourcing Australia's Prosperity initiative which commenced in July 2024 and seeks to secure Australia's future as a global supplier of the resources necessary for the net-zero transition. The Divisional Coordination Directorate is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, monitoring and reporting of the Resourcing Australia's Prosperity (RAP) initiative. The Directorate comprises a small team of professionals providing leadership in providing strategic and operational coordination and integration of scientific input from across the division in delivering the RAP initiative. The key duties of the position include Apply strategic thinking to shape and drive the medium-term direction of the RAP initiative, especially identifying opportunities for coordination and integration of the different work streams. Proactively build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the RAP initiative outcomes. Drive the achievement of outcomes and benefits for the RAP initiative, including the embedding of First Nation's advice and perspectives into the program. Lead the Coordination Directorate and develop and oversee its functions including program coordination, stakeholder engagement, promotions and outreach. Manage the benefits realisation, risk management, contracts and procurement, and First Nations engagement and partnerships functions within the Coordination Directorate. Provide strategic advice and support to the Minerals, Energy and Groundwater divisional Senior Management Team (Chief of Division and Branch Heads) and RAP initiative governance bodies.
