While you'll be joining Epiroc, it’s important to note that your role will be within the CR Powered by Epiroc division, where you'll contribute directly to our ongoing mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our mining customers. CR Powered by Epiroc is seeking a proactive and innovative Electronics Design Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding Digital Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, development, and implementation of embedded electronic systems that power our advanced digital solutions for the mining industry. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to design and develop edge computing, IoT, and RF sensor technologies that provide valuable insights into mining operations. You will work on hardware design, embedded system development, compliance testing, and manufacturing support, helping CR Powered by Epiroc deliver world-class digital solutions. Key Responsibilities Electronics Design & Development – Design and implement machine-mounted electronics systems, including sensor integration, cabling, and embedded hardware development. Testing & Compliance – Conduct and oversee validation, compliance testing, and certification to ensure product reliability and regulatory adherence. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Support – Collaborate with suppliers, oversee outsourced manufacturing, and support procurement teams with component selection and lifecycle management. Technical Support & Documentation – Provide escalated technical support, maintain engineering documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The successful applicant will have: Experience with Altium for PCB design. Knowledge of RF device design, power supply design, and low-power battery-operated systems. Understanding of embedded communications protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN). Experience in networking protocols (TCP/IP, LoRa, SimpleLink). Familiarity with GPS systems and hardware integration. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of embedded electronics design and IoT hardware development.
