Benefits Hub that includes lifestyle discounts from hundreds of leading stores and services Now, a bit about the role: Reporting to the Facilities Manager and forming part of the Asset Management team, this role requires a high focus on service delivery, the ability to work well both within a team and independently, flexibility with working hours, and a high commitment to supporting and maintaining a safe working environment at all RSL workplaces.Key responsibilities of the position include (but will not be restricted to): Facilities Operations & Maintenance Assist with the operation and maintenance of all RSL assets, including addressing daily work requests and tasks in the SEQ region as assigned by the RSL Queensland Assets team helpdesk. Identify, plan, schedule and coordinate the delivery of corrective maintenance works in consultation and collaboration with other Assets team members and the broader RSL organisation. Directly contribute to the provision of a safe and healthy environment for all RSL clients, staff and visitors Assist with the management of site/building access and security Coordinate site inductions and supervision of external contractors where required. Coordinate “move, add, change” requests where required. Coordinate and maintain a high quality of presentation and amenity at all RSL sites. Maintain records and service schedules to industry standard Identify and undertake minor works projects where required Facility Emergency Management Support regular evacuation training and drills at RSL sites, where required. A willingness to be trained and act as a Fire Safety Advisor for RSL Queensland if required. Continually assess threats and hazards and contribute to improve emergency plans for all RSL facilities. Ensure all essential safety measures are in place at RSL facilities and are being maintained to the relevant standards, regulation, and legislation. Assist the broader RSL organisation with emergency preparedness, crisis and business continuity planning and training. In the event of an emergency or crisis, under the direction of the Head of Assets coordinate the facilities emergency operations and recovery response. General Support Undertake ad-hoc duties, projects or tasks to support the Asset Management team as required Commit to continuous improvement activities, particularly proactive involvement in service reviews and the development and delivery of best industry practice Assist with the management of RSL Queensland fleet vehicles, including vehicle bookings, issuance, servicing and logistics when required Available for after hour or weekend work if required Available for some planned travel if required. What’s required to succeed: A minimum of three (3) years practical experience working within Asset Management, Facilities Management or property maintenance related roles Trade or mechanical service qualification or a related discipline favourable. An understanding of building compliance, essential services, BCA, WH&S and building fire safety requirements is preferred. Current driver’s licence. Tools for Success Prior training/qualifications in WH&S desirable. Contractor management in commercial building environments. A high level of energy and proactivity with strong organisation and time management skills desirable. Well-developed communication and customer service skills, ability to interact well with diverse personalities and contractors. A good work ethic and proven ability to work unsupervised. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Experience with the use of Microsoft Dynamics an advantage.
