Head of Strategy – Regulated Infrastructure Experience Essential - Sydney Our client is a leading energy infrastructure business in Australia, responsible for managing and operating a high-voltage transmission network that connects generators, distributors, and major industrial customers. With a focus on innovation and grid transformation, they are actively investing in projects that enhance network capacity, integrate renewable energy sources, and support the decarbonization of the energy sector. We are seeking a Head of Strategy to drive long-term growth, optimise resources, and navigate market dynamics. This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded leader who can set and execute strategy while working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead the Enterprise Business Strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships to expand capabilities and revenue streams Establish robust strategy & planning processes that enable agility in a changing market Leverage market research & insights to inform strategic decisions, including adjacencies like batteries and offshore wind Work in conjunction with the Head of M&A/Corporate Development to drive business growth Lead a team of 4 and collaborate across the business to execute high-impact initiatives Strategy professional with a background in Management Consulting and experience in regulated infrastructure Proven ability to engage with regulators and grow a business within a regulatory framework Strong stakeholder management skills – able to influence at all levels A commercially driven leader with gravitas who can set the strategic agenda Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, active in-house strategy role This is an opportunity to own the strategy function and play a key role in shaping the future of a major player in the infrastructure sector.
