About the Role Are you passionate about student wellbeing and making a real impact? Join Swinburne Health Services as a Program Coordinator, where you will lead initiatives that support students' health, wellbeing, and success.In this role, you will coordinate and deliver health promotion events, educational workshops, and wellbeing activities that empower students to navigate challenges and thrive in their studies. Acting as the first point of contact for health-related initiatives, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop meaningful partnerships and ensure the success of our programs.You will also provide essential administrative support, including organising events, managing resources, coordinating staff participation, and compiling reports for the Associate Director of Health Services. A key focus will be to raise awareness, reduce stigma around mental health, and implement preventative programs that support students at greater risk of experiencing health-related challenges. The role also involves working with our student peer support health champions, H.Squad.To succeed in this role, you will be a proactive and people-focused professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships. Your enthusiasm for student wellbeing, along with your ability to engage and support students, will be essential in fostering a healthier, more connected university community.Please note that this position requires flexibility in working hours to cover practice working hours, which are 8:00am to 6:00pm. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Demonstrated project management and coordinator experience. Health Promotion experience. Experience in organising and coordinating activities, events, workshops. Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. High level of attention to detail and creativity. Ability to build relationships across the university. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously but also work collaboratively within the Wellbeing at Swinburne multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; including the capacity to liaise with individuals at all levels in a professional, confident, engaging, responsive and timely manner. Computer literacy with common Microsoft platforms and Patient Management Systems. Experience working in tertiary education or with young adults would be advantageous. Qualifications Qualified Social Worker, Registered Nurse or Community Health Nurse, or Health Promotion Professional. Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a nurse/psychologist; or Full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
