About the opportunity Working within SA Power Networks’ Portfolio Framework, the Investment Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting the identification, definition, planning, tracking and realisation of benefits associated with our strategic projects. The role provides ‘investment due diligence’ and independent assurance that the benefits and outcomes proposed in a realisation plan have been achieved to the extent defined in the plan, at the time defined in the plan and any variances are identified and explained or understood. This is a key step of the portfolio lifecycle and provides assurance to executives that projects are contributing to the broader strategic objectives of SA Power Networks. The role also supports our Innovation leaders and product owners to conduct Value Due Diligence of their innovation initiatives. This may also include preparation of monthly reports for the Strategy, Innovation and Growth leadership team to summarise portfolio value performance, as well as investment recommendations. This is a key role in facilitating our Innovation Pipeline process to prioritise initiatives for further investment. Key Role Objectives Develop and implement ongoing strategies and activities to drive benefits management capability and maturity. Improvements within our Portfolio Framework and Innovation program. Assess benefits planning and realisation practice across the program to identify gaps, overlaps, and conflicts and eliminate double counting in the benefits plan. Undertake regular tracking and reporting on the management of program benefits, assessing the impact of project change requests for their potential effect on benefits realisation. Provide support and direction to Innovation Managers and Product Owners regarding benefit identification activities and in leading benefits reviews. Regularly review and recommend improvements to the benefits management processes, activities, and performance monitoring. Develop and implement improvements to ongoing portfolio performance analysis and reporting and manage the preparation of accurate and timely progress reports to identify issues and provide advice/recommendations to ensure the achievement of desired program outcomes. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Economics (or related field) or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience. Extensive experience in investment governance, portfolio management, or a similar role. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
