Job Description
This role will provide capital and maintenance planning and cost control services to the Water and Wastewater/Mechanical and Electrical Team to improve reliability of assets and equipment and environmental compliance, safety and service levels, while reducing maintenance costs. This role is critical for the implementation of the Townsville Water maintenance strategy and will improve the focus on preventive maintenance and cost control, which will result in reduced reactive maintenance, increased maintenance efficiency, cost reduction and improved compliance and levels of service. Our ideal candidate will have: Certificate IV or Diploma in maintenance management or relevant equivalent or higher qualification. Minimum 5 years’ experience with maintenance management practices, systems and methods (Preferred). Knowledge of and experience with asset condition and performance assessment methods. Knowledge and experience of planning works and schedules for Water, Wastewater, civil, mechanical or electrical. Sound analytical skills to interpret, analyse and report on data. High level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and Outlook and computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning tools and techniques. Demonstrated experience in developing planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance programs. Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence. High-level problem-solving abilities and experience resolving resource planning and scheduling challenges.
