North Ward Community Care Team, Mental Health Service Group, Vincent, TOWNSVILLE Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital. In this Senior Occupational Therapist role you will deliver treatment to adults with mental health difficulties living in the community, within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. Providing short, medium and long-term case management so that various services and supports are provided in a coordinated and collaborative manner. Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4). 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Provide General Case Management to consumers and others. Participate as a member of the Mental Health Team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required within a multidisciplinary framework, ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems. Collaborate with other agencies and services in providing appropriate, culturally safe and respectful assistance, care, counselling and medical treatment to persons with a mental illness. Role requirements The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of current practising certificate. Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class 'C' motor vehicle, and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
