THE ROLE JD Sports is on the lookout for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a 2-month FTC. This role will collaborate with the Payroll Manager and Financial Controller, handling administrative tasks to support the seamless operation of the payroll function. To be successful in this position you must have previous experience using HR3. Responsibilities: Maintaining a high level of confidentiality Assisting with the processing end to end weekly payroll across HR3 and Etivity Monitoring the email inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner Processing weekly changes such as variations to employment Managing change of age rates on a weekly basis for DC and Retail staff Following up with Management teams and other employees for supporting documentation Processing new starter onboarding on HR3 Maintaining time and attendance records Working closely with stakeholders such as Store Managers and Area Managers to help resolve payroll queries and support with conducting reporting where requested General database maintenance Ad-hoc tasks e.g. Processing bonus payments Legislative compliance WHO YOU ARE Minimum Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role is essential Previous experience working in retail is preferable Prior experience working with the General Retail Award and Storage and Services Award Experience using HR3 is mandatory Previous experience using Tambla/Etivity is preferable NZ Payroll experience is advantageous Intermediate Excel skills Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
