Ranging from construction/development, annual CAPEX for maintenance/sustaining operations, internal projects (like tech upgrades), and other critical investments, provide you a substantial portfolio. Each project requires setting up, WIP reporting, budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, and exceptional communication with each project sponsor, the accounting team, and executives. From whoa to go, you are joining at 'day dot' and will see through projects from end to end. You will report directly to the portfolio manager who will also be hands on, working side by side with you and supporting your efforts and stakeholders. A few of the projects exceed $100m, so your large project expertise and best practice knowledge will be highly valued.Your Profile This highly specialised opportunity suits the people person accountant who enjoys the chaos and unstructured of projects, setting up new reporting in PowerBI, engaging finance and non-finance stakeholders, keeping away surprises (and flagging variances/changes early) and seeing through successful projects. You have demonstrated experience in project environments, specifically large scale construction projects (from either client side or construction company), with a solid understanding of asset capitalisation, tax implications, capital program management, and end to end project accounting. You take ownership of your work, enjoy a bit of autonomy, and work well in small focused teams.Your Place on the Shortlist Given the timing and speed these projects are coming on line, you will be expected to hit the ground running on day one.
