Lead and manage the operational success of the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang and the Multi Arts Pavilion, mima within the beautiful lakeside sculpture park and public art trail. Contribute to developing a dynamic and internationally renowned Lake Arts Precinct within the city. Drive innovation and oversee a talented, creative team focused on delivering exciting and immersive exhibitions, engaging public programs, and commercial operations. LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB As the Producer, you will play a pivotal role in driving regional, national and international awareness, as well as providing creative and operational leadership for the Lake Macquarie Arts Precinct (the precinct), which includes the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang (MAC), the Multi Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP) and Sculpture Park. This position is central to accelerating public participation in the Precinct, with the goal of maximising regional and national visitation, activation, and commercial and financial success. This includes maintaining and enhancing commercial growth opportunities in hospitality, tourism product development, public programming, awards, prizes, and site-specific events. As the leader in this role, you will oversee the development, delivery and review of the Precinct’s strategy and business plans, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s long-term goals. You will also lead a talented and creative team focused on delivering best practices in exhibition programming, audience engagement and commercial operations. In addition, you will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly in sponsorship, creative networks, and fundraising programs. Financial management of the Precinct will also be a core responsibility, including sourcing new revenue streams and grants to support the ongoing success of the precinct. You have strong mature leadership experience in securing and funding exhibitions for cultural exchange, education, audience engagement, and revenue generation. Your extensive experience in art museum and contemporary gallery leadership, along with your strong decision-making skills, will enable you to navigate complex challenges in the cultural sector. You are a strategic leader with a proven ability to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and be a creative thinker. By overseeing partnerships, touring exhibitions, and on-site activations, you will reinforce the Precinct’s position at the forefront of the cultural sector. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing and managing relationships, enabling the long-term success and growth of the Precinct. In this role, exceptional communication and negotiation skills are essential, alongside proactive initiative, financial acumen and strategic foresight. You will continuously refine engagement strategies to enhance visitor experiences and maintain Lake Mac’s competitive edge.
