$1000 - $1200 pd inc. super12-month contract with possible extension on a 3-5 year program2-3 hybrid/in office environment CBD locationThis Big 4 bank is working through a program and require a Product Owner for support of the largest cards and payments transformation in the business. About the role As the Product Owner you will be responsible for taking requirements from the Business Analysts, drawing up and managing the product backlog, ensuring it’s grooming and prioritisation, and leading the Scrum team through sprints and ensuring product value. You will be engaging with an impressive range of senior stakeholders in an agile delivery environment. This role will be working alongside 2 other Product Owners and will be mainly focusing on strategies for business outcomes of the program. What you will do Identifying strategies for business outcomes on the program, working closely with senior stakeholders. Lead a product squad on the Customer Journey and Customer Experience, grooming and prioritising the team’s backlog, estimating and making informed decisions. Collaborate closely with the Business Analysts in the team, as they capture the business requirements and relay information to the backlog. Decide on sprint, release and retrospective dates and timelines. Lead product discovery initiatives, collaborate with user experience and interface designers to transform ideas into functions. Gain a strong understanding of the product suite and ensure any platform changes map to the wider vision. Engage with different stakeholders including different business units, IT teams, and vendors to ensure the smooth migration of lending assets. What you will have done Experience in the financial services industry is essential, with a particular focus on cards and payments knowledge and unsecured lending products (loans, cards, payments, lines of credit, p2p loans, signature loans, etc). Experience across large transformations in the banking/finance space (min. 3+ years), ideally with exposure to large migrations/mergers/acquisitions. Experience with 3rd party vendors. Strong experience in E2E product delivery. Excellent Product Owner core skill sets, from backlog prioritisation to stakeholder engagement. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. This role provides excellent exposure to a high-visibility delivery on a massive transformation, exposure to exciting stakeholders and the flexibility to work from home and on-site (~2-3 days) when needed.
