Come and be a part of this success. About the Role We are seeking a Project Engineer – Track Renewals Projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team and will provide the successful applicant with exposure to a suite of multidisciplinary Rail Projects including the 290mtpa + Program of Works. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Track Renewals, you will be responsible for: Support the Project management of a portfolio of Rail Renewal Projects to approved scope, budget, schedule, and specifications and in accordance with relevant processes and standards. Management of the design process including optioneering, stakeholder engagement, technical input, contractor management and procurement. Providing input into the portfolio budgets, plans and schedules and where required, supporting feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, impact assessments and project business cases to obtain project-funding approvals. Engaging with and coordinating multiple stakeholders during the execution of the works including Operations, EPC organisations, contractors, government organisations and functional groups within BHPIO. Critically reviewing construction plans, permits specifications and drawings and providing practical input into shutdown staging/planning. Providing technical assistance and guidance for projects during all project lifecycle phases. Taking shared accountability for the performance of the team and promoting operational discipline throughout work execution. Ensuring quality of completed tasks, enhancing technical knowledge of other team members and promoting continuous professional development. Ensuring quality control of execution activities and that a safe, efficient, cost-effective system of work is in place. Carrying out preparation of plans, permits estimates, reports, forecasts and material take offs. About You Skills and Experience The successful candidate will possess the following: An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibility. Experience working on multiple Brownfield projects in parallel. Excellent written/oral communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders. Confident in managing all project phases and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated experience in managing project costs, schedule and reporting. Ability to build key relationships and effectively communicate with a culturally diverse workforce. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management is highly desirable. Experience in track design management and track renewal practices is highly desirable. Current full West Australian “C” class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license.
