We are seeking a Quality Chemist/Technician who is looking to build on their analytical testing skills to be an integral part of our Quality Assurance Team. You will need to have a passion for Chemistry and Quality to join our friendly high-performing team. About The Role Based at Wetherill Park, an opportunity exists for a Quality Chemist/Technician for a permanent full-time position. Your Duties Will Include Develop and maintain high level skills in analytical testing and maintenance of laboratory instruments. Support production quality testing laboratory. Release product for sale following quality assessment and issue Certificates of Analysis. Prepare customer samples as required. Product analysis, sampling & testing and environmental monitoring. Maintain retention sample storage system. Conduct Internal Audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of our ISO9001 Quality System. Assist plant personnel in resolving any quality and production issues. Provide or arrange such training as may be needed. Troubleshoot plant problems/inefficiencies, liaise to rectify/improve. Assist with the specification, assessment, purchasing, installation and commissioning of plant and laboratory equipment. Analysis of customer complaint and query samples. Provide advice to Sales and other company departments. Establish and review as necessary specifications for products, raw materials and purchased products. Testing of alternate raw materials and finished products for compliance with specification and for performance in formulations and or end use, as appropriate. Maintenance of Product Label System. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Tertiary science qualifications in applied science. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in QC laboratory, preferably chemical manufacturing. Experience with instrumental/wet chemical analysis i.e. Autotitrators, Spectroscopy, Chromatography. Computer systems e.g. MS Word, Excel and Access. Quality standards protocols (ISO9001-2015).
