Higher Education Officer Level 8 | $110,581 - $122,420 pa About the Role Flinders University Governance, Legal and Risk team have an opening for a Risk and Insurance Business Partner. Requiring a combined transactional, strategic and tactical mindset, this position is responsible for the overall management and advisory support of the University's insurance program and providing support in the management of the Risk Management Framework, this position services each of the business units of the University, (under broad direction from the Associate Director, Risk and Assurance).Broadly, the Risk and Insurance Business Partners is responsible for: Managing the entire annual renewal process for the University and its controlled entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. General management of the University's insurance program and providing support in the management of the Risk Management Framework. Training, reporting and continuous improvement including developing and maintaining training materials, guides and toolkits to support consistent process and stakeholder education. Please review the Position Description for a more comprehensive list of key responsibilities and capabilities About You A dynamic individual, you are highly adept at building effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and have exemplary interpersonal and oral communication skills. Your organisational skills are second to none, as is your ability to independently prepare accurate correspondence and reports, and (where appropriate), make recommendations to senior University managers to a high professional standard.We would expect the successful candidate to have completed a degree and possess extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination or experience and/or education and/or training.A highly developed understanding of, and experience in the insurance industry or insurance related roles is critical to success in this role.About Governance, Legal and Risk Governance, Legal and Risk provide governance, legal, policy, compliance, insurance and risk management support to the University and its staff.
