We are secretive about what we do, not what we value.The opportunity As Technical Specialist, Communications Access and Collection you will provide technical expertise for the development and implementation of Designated Communications Provider capabilities under the Telecommunications Act and associated exploitation capabilities in support of ASIO's warranted Computer Access requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, industry, domestic and international partners to ensure ASIO's future digital collection capabilities meet the evolving technology requirements to support our investigations.You will leverage your expertise to enhance ASIO's access and collection capabilities across a range of technologies. This will involve close collaboration with both development and operational teams to deliver solutions which can solve our challenges from within the office or while deployed in the field.The key duties of the position include Role responsibilities Investigate and develop new communications access and collection techniques to support digital collection requirements. Engage with Designated Communications Providers and leverage the industry assistance framework to collaboratively develop and deliver fit-for-purpose capabilities. Lead the integration of these access and collection technologies across operational areas. Foster and develop relationships with specified domestic and international partners on common technology strategies, including collaborative efforts to deliver joint solutions. Mentor and develop technical staff in these areas to build strategic capacity for ASIO to enhance these capabilities into the future. What you will bring We invite applications from people with the following attributes:Experience working with, or within, the telecommunications industry is desirable. Experience integrating RF communications systems, specialising in cellular, is desirable. Demonstrated experience in Vulnerability Research and Exploit Development. Ability to code in various languages. Demonstrated ability to work closely with stakeholders, including technology teams, telecommunications providers, key industry partners and Government partners. Excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes.
