About the business The King’s College is a Pre-kindergarten to Year 12 coeducational school with a current enrolment of 900 students, situated in Wellard in the southern corridor of the metropolitan area. The College is growing in size, and a new Primary School opened in Term 1, 2024. The College is a ministry of The King’s Chapel and has been offering quality education in the area since 1986. About this role We are excited to invite applications for the position of Science Teacher to join our thriving Science Department, starting in Term 1, 2025. The King’s College Science Department offers a dynamic curriculum, including Years 7-10 WAC Science, as well as Years 11-12 General Psychology, ATAR Psychology, ATAR Physics, ATAR Chemistry, and ATAR Human Biology. We welcome applications from both graduate and experienced teachers. The ability to plan and implement a differentiated academic program to cater for a wide range of students’ needs and a love of teaching and learning are prerequisites for this position. Applicants are sought from qualified and experienced individuals with a demonstrated commitment to a Christian and Biblical worldview. The King’s College Science Teacher FTE 1.0 Commencing as soon as possible Skills and experience The successful applicant must have the following: Be a Christian, sharing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Adhere to the ‘Staff Code of Conduct’, ‘Child Safe Policy’, and ‘Statement of Affirmation of Faith’. Promote the College in the community and surrounding districts. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, families, and team members. Recognised teaching Qualification and current TRB registration. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people, including parents and support staff. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
