Job Description Summary We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Data Governance Associate to join our Asset Servicing Data Governance Team at Northern Trust. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring our data assets are accurate, secure, and compliant with industry standards. Major Duties: Develop tools and processes used to maintain a common data standard across the organization. Assess and manage strategies that reduce data redundancy and increase the consistency of data used for decision-making. Define and deliver data management standards, processes and controls for the creation and maintenance of common data dictionaries. Participate in periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with the data governance policies. Resolve conflicting priorities among data owners, data consumers, and custodians. Drive efficiency and risk mitigation through balancing business value and cost. Collaborate with partners across the organization in maintaining data governance and data quality structures. Coordinate and implement data quality remediation efforts to ensure data meets enterprise standards. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment encouraging teamwork and communication. Knowledge: Strong Data Governance Tooling experience, preferably with Collibra. Knowledge of the Financial Services sector. Strong understanding of the role of Data Governance within business and technical communities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
