We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving education outcomes for children in preschool settings. The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner in the School Readiness Program works in a multidisciplinary team that focuses on capacity building preschool educators and parents to improve the learning environment for preschool children. The main focus areas for the role are developing positive relationships, social behaviours and the social and emotional wellbeing/development of preschool children. This is achieved by providing education to preschool educators/families, providing demonstration/coaching sessions at the preschool, and developing resources to assist in the development of social and emotional skills. It is important that the successful candidate works with a trauma-informed lens. LCHS provides school readiness services across inner Gippsland, so there is scope to be based at various offices.
