About the Role This is your chance to step into a pivotal role within a dynamic Engineering and Design team. As a Structural Engineer, you will focus on designing steel structures for switch rooms, preparing calculations, reviewing drawings, and collaborating on high-impact projects that shape Australia’s critical electrical infrastructure.Responsibilities Develop structural designs for switch room steel structures, including sketches and engineering calculations. Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance. Recommend improvements to structural engineering processes and construction strategies. Interpret and apply relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170 and AS 4100. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production engineers, to ensure project success. Prepare and review fabrication drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent. Address client feedback and amend designs as needed. Support the development of rigging arrangement designs to industry standards. Qualifications & Experience A minimum of 4 years experience in designing steel structures. Proficient in Shop Detailing Strong understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practices with demonstrated experience Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
