Job Description
Where will you work? You will join a large ASX listed mining company going through a growth phase. They are currently seeking a skilled Tax Specialist for a 4-month contract, with the potential for extension. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $70-$75 per hr + Super, with a flexible work arrangement of 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home, including early Friday finishes. You will be based within 10 minutes of the Brisbane CBD, close to public transport. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in corporate tax, a proactive attitude, and experience with SAP. The role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Tax and Compliance and is expected to start by mid February. What will you do? The position involves preparing tax returns, managing tax calculations, supporting tax provisions, and assisting with ad-hoc projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns (income tax and indirect tax) Prepare tax workpapers and analysis for assigned entities Prepare tax calculations and disclosure notes for Australian statutory financial statements Assist with monthly and quarterly tax provision calculations Support tax reviews of business processes, budgets, forecasts, leasing arrangements, and fixed asset management Provide ad-hoc support to the tax function on various duties and projects Minimum Requirements: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.To apply please click apply or call Duan De Bruin on 07 3032 2222 for a confidential discussion.
