A bit about the role The Transformation and Services Hub Accountant is a full-time, limited tenure role (until 26 June 2026), offering a unique opportunity to support the Service Improvement Hub and Transformation functions in all finance processes. This role involves providing financial business support, budget advice, and project accounting assistance to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to maintain budgets and forecasts, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to long-term financial planning. With a focus on performance monitoring, financial analysis, and compliance, this position helps the Service Improvement Hub meet its strategic goals while fostering collaborative relationships. The role includes a 40-hour workweek with a rostered day off (RDO). What you’ll deliver Support the Service Improvement Hub and Transformation functions across all relevant finance processes and systems. Support the delivery of Service Improvement Projects financial processes, including initiative budget review, phasing & forecasts processes in a timely manner. Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure approved budgets and forecasts are loaded and maintained in the ledgers in accordance with timetables and endorsed decisions. Provide input to the long-term financial planning process and cost to serve models that enhance Council's understanding of financial risks and Council's ongoing financial sustainability from a SI perspective. Drive continuous improvement and support effective financial performance reporting, enhancement of business systems, processes, procedures. Review and advise on risk issues associated with financial management initiatives and changes, including compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, business protocols and standards. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or CMA is desirable. Experience in ERP Finance systems, exposure to Data Analytics, Technology One/OneCouncil Finance system experience including XL one reporting will be highly regarded. Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting, diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis. Facilitation skills including effective listening and ability to ask the right questions to understand inputs, as well as the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
