Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator (Regional) Founded in 1860, Dowell Windows has been in the building industry for over 160 years in the window manufacturing business. We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Safety Advisor to provide site safety leadership and ensure compliance with both Dowell policies and current WHS legislation at our Bayswater site. Travel between the South-East Regions is an integral part of this role. Reporting to the General Manager, South-East Region, the role will draw on your ability to facilitate the implementation of safety initiatives, improve safety performance, document standard operating procedures and work towards a zero-harm environment. Are you an experienced manufacturing professional with a passion for workplace safety? We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team and take on a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees. Key Responsibilities: Ensure full compliance with WH&S legislation and Dowell safety policies across our manufacturing site. Coordinate and manage rehabilitation and return-to-work processes to ensure employees can safely return to full duties. Actively engage with employees to foster a positive safety culture and ensure safety processes are embedded in day-to-day operations. Develop and monitor site-specific safety KPIs, ensuring that performance is clearly communicated, and improvements are consistently made. Implement continuous safety improvements to ensure our manufacturing processes stay up-to-date and exceed industry standards. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with clear work instructions and visual aids for our manufacturing teams. Conduct regular safety audits and on-site investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring all safety equipment is maintained and functioning. Submit monthly safety statistics and detailed investigation reports to senior leadership. The successful candidate for this role will have: Relevant and similar experience in an equivalent safety role (construction or manufacturing industry experience is preferable). Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (Preferred) Construction White Card Excellent knowledge of the development and implementation of safety plans, programs, processes, and systems to reduce risk. A professional, positive, and approachable disposition. Ability to influence and coach team leaders, line managers, and employees. Ability to drive positive results through consultation with employees. Lead by example by demonstrating positive safety behaviours. Knowledge of ICAM or equivalent incident investigation processes.
