    Summary
    Harbour is seeking an experienced Independent Sales Representative to grow our presence throughout Queensland. This commission-based opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with strong relationships across the design, architecture, hospitality, commercial, or luxury furniture markets.

    Representing Harbour within an assigned territory, you will develop new business, strengthen existing client relationships, and build awareness of our collections among designers, architects, purchasing professionals, and other key industry partners. You will serve as a key representative of the Harbour brand in the Queensland market, combining relationship development with a strong focus on sales growth.

    Responsibilities
    Sales & Business DevelopmentActively promote Harbour's full collection of outdoor furniture to existing and prospective clients throughout the assigned territory.Identify and develop new business opportunities with designers, architects, purchasing agents, specification professionals, hospitality groups, commercial firms, and other relevant accounts.Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline focused on increasing revenue and expanding Harbour's presence across Queensland.Develop a strong understanding of Harbour's products, collections, materials, and brand positioning to effectively present solutions to clients.Client & Account ManagementBuild long-term relationships with existing accounts while identifying opportunities to grow and expand those relationships.Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients throughout the sales process.Provide responsive after-sales support and assist with delivery coordination and product or inventory inquiries as needed.Maintain regular communication with clients regarding products, availability, lead times, and other relevant sales information.Brand RepresentationRepresent Harbour professionally within the Queensland design and commercial community.Develop relationships that strengthen Harbour's visibility and reputation within the territory.Represent Harbour in accordance with established pricing, discount, Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP), and lead-time policies.Share relevant market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights with Harbour.Sales ReportingMaintain visibility into sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline development within the territory.Provide regular updates on sales activity, key opportunities, client needs, and market conditions.Coordinate with Harbour as needed to support account development and successful order fulfillment.
    QualificationsProven sales or business development experience, preferably within luxury furniture, interior design, architecture, hospitality, commercial interiors, or another design-driven industry.Established relationships within the Queensland design, architecture, hospitality, or commercial community are highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build lasting client relationships.Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.Self-directed and commercially minded, with the ability to independently develop and manage a geographic sales territory.Strong appreciation for premium design, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer experience.Ability to travel throughout the assigned Queensland territory to meet with clients and develop business.Must be able to operate as an independent contractor and manage the associated business responsibilities and expenses.

    Compensation: Commission-based, calculated on Net Sales, defined as gross sales less applicable discounts, returns, and allowances.7% commission on qualifying orders where the client receives a 0% to 30% discount from MSRP.6% commission on qualifying orders where the client receives a 31% to 50% discount from MSRP.
    This is an independent contractor opportunity and does not include a base salary or employee benefits. The Independent Sales Representative will operate their own business and be responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, expenses, and other business obligations.
