What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong project management capability with a genuine passion for delivering infrastructure that benefits communities.
You'll ideally have:A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, recognised by Engineers Australia.Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, with experience across roads, bridges or transport infrastructure with Transport for Main Roads (TMR) highly regarded.Experience across project development, construction delivery and contract administration.Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, road and bridge design, construction, maintenance and materials.Experience managing project budgets, programs, resources, risks and commercial outcomes.Experience working with major contract forms such as AS 2124, AS 4300, D&C, Alliance or similar contracting models is desirable.Strong understanding of project governance, quality, safety and risk management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to make sound, timely decisions in a complex project environment.A collaborative approach and the ability to bring multidisciplinary teams together around a common goal.A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and high-performing project environment. As a result of strategic growth, AECOM is looking for a Technical Director with a strong Building Structures background to join our national Building Engineering team.
This is a senior leadership role with a mix of technical and design leadership, project delivery, commercial management, client engagement and business development. You will report directly to the local Sector Manager and take direction from the ANZ Building Engineer Sector Director, leading Building Engineering's response to landmark opportunities in the market.
