Role OverviewThe Team Leader is responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service, supporting the business owner with day-to-day operations, and motivating team members to meet performance targets (speed, quality, cleanliness, and service) and ultimately improve profitability of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & QualityEnsure customers receive friendly, fast, and accurate service.Maintain food quality standards (portioning, presentation, temperature, and labeling).Address customer complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.Operations & ComplianceSupport opening/closing procedures (cash handling support where required).Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, front-of-house, and dining areas.Follow company procedures (health & safety, allergens, cleaning schedules, stock handling).Team Leadership & TrainingLead and coach team members during shifts.Support onboarding and training of new starters.Allocate tasks to ensure the team is working efficiently.Motivate the team and reinforce expected behaviours and standards.Performance & TargetsHelp meet key targets such as:Speed of serviceOrder accuracyWaste reductionStaff attendance and readinessMonitor basic operational metrics and report issues to management.Stock & SuppliesAssist with supplier relations, ordering and inventory checks.Notify management of low stock, expired items, or supply issues.Required Skills & ExperiencePrior experience in a fast food or retail environment (preferred).Experience working in a team-focused, high-paced environment.Strong communication and ability to lead by example.Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts.Basic numeracy skills for routine checks and order accuracy.Working Hours & ScheduleFull-time or part-time (specify as needed).Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Personal AttributesFriendly, confident, and calm under pressure.Strong attention to detail (quality and cleanliness).Ability to support and manage multiple tasks at once.Team-oriented and dependable.How to ApplySubmit CV and cover letter (or application form) including availability.
