Girton Grammar School is seeking a highly organised Administration and Absentee Officer to join our Senior School Administration team on a casual, term-time basis. This pivotal role is responsible for coordinating the School's absentee processes, providing high-quality administrative support, and assisting with reception and first aid functions when required. About the Role Play an important role in supporting student wellbeing, attendance management and daily school operations. You will join a highly collaborative administration team that works closely together to support the effective operation of the School. Team members provide operational support and backup for one another during periods of peak demand and staff absences, contributing to key school activities. Additional Information This is a casual, term-time only position classified at Grade 1 under the Girton Grammar School Bendigo Enterprise Agreement 2022 and the Educational Services (General Staff) Award 2020. Due to the highly interactive and student-facing nature of this role, attendance on campus is an inherent requirement. The duties of the position cannot be effectively performed remotely and work-from-home arrangements are not available.     Girton Grammar School is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Academic Operations Assistant to support the effective administration of the School's academic operations. Working closely with the Daily Organiser and a collaborative team of academic and administrative professionals, this important role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of curriculum, timetable and reporting data across the School's core systems, while providing operational support for examinations, subject selection processes and daily organisation activities. About the Role The Academic Operations Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information within the School's academic systems, including Synergetic and Astra. Responsibilities include: Supporting student reporting and academic certificate production Maintaining subject, curriculum, timetable and student data Assisting with quality assurance and data validation across academic systems Supporting subject selection processes and student timetable management Assisting with the coordination of internal examinations, NAPLAN and ACER testing Providing operational support for daily organisation and staff replacement processes Working collaboratively with a cross-functional administration team to ensure continuity of service during peak periods and staff absences. About You The successful applicant will demonstrate: Strong administrative, organisational and analytical skills High levels of accuracy and attention to detail Well-developed ICT skills, including experience managing databases and information systems The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting colleagues A genuine commitment to student wellbeing, child safety and professional integrity. Experience in a school environment and familiarity with systems such as Synergetic, Astra or other student management platforms will be highly regarded but is not essential. Why join us?
