The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional backed by extensive experience managing medium-large scale mining & minerals projects both locally & internationally.The tasks you'll performEnsure the quality of output of the project team, and that it is aligned with the needs of the project, the company objectives, the requirements of the client and meets regulatory requirements.Ensure the management and technical competence of the project team in the delivery of the projects is enhanced and developed to meet the requirements of the Clients and their projects in accordance with the contract.Oversee all project activities and ensure they are conducted in a manner that highly prioritises safety, environment, community and industrial relations.Develop and maintain the various project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable the project team to work efficiently and at a high standard of work.Manage the timeliness and accuracy of the project control (reporting, costs, schedule, trends and change management) in terms of both direct and indirect costs in accordance with the contract and in-house procedures.Ensure overall schedules, budgets and target deliverables are achieved to a consistently high standard. Develop and maintain productive client relationships. The expertise you'll bringUniversity degree in Engineering or experience equivalent.10+ years post graduate experience in Mineral Processing or related industries, ideally with strong experience in an EPCM environment.Experience delivering mining projects locally and internationally is critical. Experience in gold, base metal ores or lithium projects is highly desirable.Ability to travel internationally or locally for project work as required.Strong technical background with a broad multi-disciplinary base.Thorough understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues.Demonstrated ability to direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to deliver critical project objectives.The ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.Intuitive leader with the ability to initiate, lead and manage change in a complex environment.The benefits we'll provideLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development. This newly created role provides a strong opportunity to contribute to the success of the business whilst building upon your previous project coordination experience. You'll work in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment where your contribution will make a real impact. Reporting to the Maintenance Planner, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of rail infrastructure and engineering projects by assisting Project Managers with project coordination, commercial administration and project controls. The role is well suited to a driven people person, who continuously strives towards producing quality deliverables whilst providing high-level support to the wider team. The tasks you'll performEnsure project obligations, documentation and reporting are managed effectively, and in line with company standards.Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects from commencement through to completion.Contribute to safe, efficient, and profitable project outcomes.Manage project documentation, contracts, procurement activities and commercial records.Monitor project schedules, risks, and key deliverables.Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support project outcomes.Manage subcontractors onsite to ensure safe delivery and scope objectives are met.Support tendering, project mobilisation and project close-out activities.Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes.The expertise you'll bring3-5 years' experience in a project management, project engineering or contracts administration role.Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business or similar desirable, but not essential.Experience supporting construction, engineering, rail or infrastructure projects, with an understanding of project delivery, procurement and commercial administration.Well-developed organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems. Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft 365 would be advantageous.Current Australian Driver's Licence.A self-starter who can readily adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
