With a strong focus on great coffee, fresh food, friendly service and a welcoming customer experience, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and continued development of our café.This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a busy café environment.About the RoleAs the Café Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the business, supporting staff and maintaining high standards across customer service, food service and café operations.Position Title:Café ManagerYour responsibilities will include:Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the café, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.Leading, supervising and supporting café staff to ensure efficient service and a positive workplace environment.Preparing staff rosters, allocating duties and ensuring appropriate staffing levels during trading periods.Maintaining consistently high standards of customer service, presentation and dining experience.Assisting with recruitment, staff training, performance management and ongoing development of team members.Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers.Monitoring food, beverage and operational costs and supporting effective budget and cost control.Ensuring the café operates in accordance with relevant food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and regulatory requirements.Responding professionally to customer feedback and complaints and implementing improvements where appropriate.Coordinating promotional and marketing activities to support customer engagement and business growth.Monitoring the overall performance of the café and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and profitability. Base Salary:Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 + SuperannuationJob Location:Bowral, NSW, AustraliaSkills & ExperienceWe are seeking a motivated hospitality professional with:Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in café, restaurant or hospitality management.Strong leadership and people-management skills.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Ability to organise staff, rosters and daily café operations effectively.Understanding of stock control, purchasing and operational cost management.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.Ability to work effectively in a busy, customer-focused environment.A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving café operations.Hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential where relevant practical experience can be demonstrated.Applicants who can communicate in more than one language will be highly regarded, particularly where this assists communication with customers, staff and suppliersQualifications:Relevant qualification such as Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory with sufficient experience) OR minimum 3 years of work experience in similar setting to substitute work experience.Job Type:Full-time (Minimum 38 hours per week)What We Offer$75,000 - $85,000 + superannuation, depending on skills and experience.Full-time position with a minimum of 38 hours per week.Opportunity to take a key management role within an established local café and coffee roasting business.A supportive and customer-focused working environment.Opportunity to contribute ideas and play an active role in the ongoing growth of the business.
