We are seeking 2 motivated Trainee Power Communications Technicians to undertake a Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering Technology, followed by an Advanced Diploma of Industrial Data Communication, Networking and IT upon successful completion. This 4-year program will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge under the supervision of qualified professionals, while also attending TAFE to complete your certification. The traineeships will be based at Rowville (x1) and Thomastown (x1), however flexibility will be required to work anywhere around Victoria. During the program, you will be a valued member of our team and experience a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry, enhancing your skills and career development opportunities. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain and diagnose faults in a range of Communication equipment, including: Digital multiplexers MPLS-TP equipment Microwave radio equipment Powerline Carrier equipment Teleprotection equipment Install, maintain and diagnose faults on copper and fibre optic cables Support the delivery of capital works and maintenance programs Support Zinfra Group to maintain communications assets throughout Victoria Work effectively as a member of a team and individually when required Commit to developing new skills, including operating various test and diagnostic equipment About You This is an exciting time for our industry, and we would love to share this journey with someone committed and eager to learn. Upon successful completion of the program, you will have completed all competencies for an Advanced Diploma of Industrial Data Communication, Networking and IT.
