About the program As a graduate in the 2026 Graduate Program, you will be at the forefront of tackling transnational serious and organised crime affecting Australia. The work you will do, will directly contribute to keeping the Australian community safe. Our 10-month program will provide you with an opportunity to develop your professional skills and hone your tradecraft, in a diverse and supportive agency. We offer a number of benefits including: Various rotations that will expose you to a variety of capabilities within the ACIC A comprehensive development program including a mix of on-the-job and formal learning A dedicated ‘buddy’ to support you through your graduate journey Advancement to the APS Level 5 classification upon successful completion of the 2026 Graduate Program. Please note, the Graduate Program will be based in Canberra with the possibility of positions being offered in other state offices. Our Key Intelligence We are seeking graduates who are driven and passionate about the important work we do. We want graduates who are problem solvers, innovative thinkers and committed to making a difference. We are seeking graduates with degrees in the following fields: Criminology National Security Criminal Justice Data Science Digital Forensics Security Studies Psychology Legal International Relations Computer Science Network Engineering Human Resources Communication and Media Finance and Accounting Essential qualifications Due to complete your undergraduate degree by the end of 2025, or have completed an undergraduate degree within the last 3 years. Eligibility Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen. Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance. Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC. The ACIC is committed to diversity and inclusion.
