Where you can work Most positions are available in Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. A limited number of positions may be available in Darwin, Geelong, Hobart, Newcastle and Townsville. Data roles We are recruiting for three streams of data. Which stream suits you best?Data Generalist Stream Roles include Data Analysts, Geospatial Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Managers. Data Generalists lead the design, analysis and delivery of relevant, trusted and objective statistics and data-related insights.Data Scientist Stream Roles include Applied Data Scientists, Data Science Developers and Data Modellers. Data Scientists apply advanced analytics techniques and scientific principles to extract valuable information from data for business decision-making, strategic planning and more.Mathematician/Statistician Stream Roles include Statisticians, Mathematicians and Evaluation Specialists. Mathematicians/Statisticians provide expert advice on statistical methods used to produce high quality official statistics and generate timely new insights. Are you eligible? To be eligible for the program you must: be an Australian citizen at the time of application have completed at least an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification (a Bachelor’s degree) or higher qualification between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2025 be able to obtain and maintain a valid Australian Government security clearance, if required be willing to undergo any necessary police, character, health or other checks as required.
