We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate. We are currently seeking an experienced 2IC Farm Manager to join our team located in Warrnambool, Victoria. This position will involve managing farm activities, livestock, and pasture management while ensuring high standards of animal welfare, machinery upkeep, and operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in monitoring and reporting on farm operations while working closely with the farm manager. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing farm operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning Display excellent pasture knowledge and implement effective grazing management practices to optimize pasture and feed quality Manage and monitor the feeding, health, and general care of livestock Maintain and monitor electronic dairy systems, ensuring accurate data management and system functionality Collaborate with the Farm Manager to monitor progress, provide updates, and communicate any operational concerns Perform routine farm maintenance and adhere to machinery upkeep schedules to ensure all equipment is running efficiently Be part of a team environment and contribute to a positive & productive workplace Participate in both on-site and off-site training to enhance your skills and industry knowledge SKILLS & EXPERIENCES: Previous farm management or relevant farming experience is recommended Large herd experience preferred however willing to train the suitable candidate Strong understanding of pasture management, grazing techniques, and livestock care Solid understanding of electronic dairy systems and data management Good knowledge of farm machinery and maintenance schedules Ability to work well within a team and independently when required Ability to communicate effectively and take initiative A strong passion for farming and working outdoors Flexible, reliable, and able to work a split-shift roster WHY JOIN US?
