The Division of the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer is at the heart of the University’s financial and operational success, providing expert financial and policy advice to key decision-making bodies, including the Vice-Chancellor, Board of Trustees, and University Executive. The Division ensures the effective and efficient delivery of services across Financial Performance & Partnerships, Financial Services, Treasury, Procurement, Risk, and Internal Audit. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and strategic professional to support the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in delivering operational excellence and driving the strategic direction of the Division. Working closely with the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, you will provide high-level strategic, advisory, and operational support, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and effective engagement across the University and beyond. Your ability to think ahead, manage competing priorities, and deliver informed, high-quality advice will be crucial in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, governance, and leadership. You will manage key projects, oversee governance processes, and play a central role in sector-wide collaborations with Universities Australia, IRU, AUSFOG, and NSW CFOs. Your insights and recommendations will directly contribute to shaping financial strategies, ensuring that decisions are based on sound analysis and forward-thinking solutions. Beyond strategy and governance, you will be instrumental in fostering a connected and engaged divisional culture. Leading key initiatives such as divisional forums, webinars, and planning days, you will create opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth across the team. Your leadership will extend to mentoring a small, high-performing team, ensuring they thrive in a supportive and results-driven environment. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, this position will be instrumental in shaping and delivering strategic initiatives that support the University’s financial and operational priorities. It is a role for a proactive and highly skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in execution and engagement. This is a full-time, ongoing position based between Hawkesbury and Parramatta Campuses. Remuneration: Higher Education Worker Level 8 - $134,532 to $149,345 p.a. (comprising base salary of $113,681 to $126,198 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
