The role will involve a large measure of autonomy, but you will work closely with the two partners and our other solicitors. As a senior lawyer, you will play a key role in providing strategic, quality, and client-focused legal advice and representation in many areas of law. We are looking for a dedicated person to grow this area of the business, with a genuine interest in cooperative file management, mentoring, and team building. This is a full-time position, with opportunities for flexible work arrangements. Our main priority for this role will be to focus on our commercial, estates, and property matters. Immediate start is available. Salary commensurate with experience: $120,000 - $170,000 with potential for performance bonuses. What you'll be doing Actively growing the commercial and property law areas of the business. Advising and representing clients in complex matters, including business structuring, commercial conveyancing, commercial leasing, estate administration, and litigation. Drafting legal documents such as property contracts, business contracts, commercial leases, and customized business agreements. Negotiating with stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Providing strategic guidance to clients on the best course of action to achieve their desired outcomes. Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and paralegals within the team. Contributing to the team's continuous improvement and business development initiatives. Qualifications & experience Bachelor of Laws and current Qld practicing certificate. 5+ years of post-admission experience in family law. Extensive knowledge of property law, leasing, wills, and estates. Track record of successfully representing clients in complex property or estate matters. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving positive outcomes.
