Job details Position status: Fixed Term Temporary Position type: Flexible full-time Occupational group: Health - Nursing Classification: Nurse Grade 10 Workplace Location: Herston Job ad reference: QLD/QPHSS/605903 Closing date: 05-Feb-2025 Job duration: Fixed term temporary full time up to 10/01/2026 The purpose of this position is to provide high level nursing leadership to manage a comprehensive policy, legislative and management framework for the prevention and control of notifiable diseases in Queensland. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Advanced capability in the application of comprehensive knowledge of contemporary public health nursing practices and multidisciplinary team approaches. Ability to effectively contribute to developing, implementing and managing a program budget and managing human and physical resources in an organisational environment of rapid change. This includes contributing to planning, analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to managing complex issues including the capacity to define and plan projects and programs, establish priorities and meet deliverables. High-level oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice, work as part of a high performing team, communicate confidently to a range of audiences, manage consultation processes and negotiate outcomes that align with organisational goals. Achievements in and commitment to both corporate and clinical governance including areas of safety, quality and risk management. Flexible approach to work and willingness to participate in initiatives to address critical issues as required by management, including an ability to work in a high performing team and client service orientation.
