Job Description

Our State Government client is seeking a full-time AO7 Principal Business and Test Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. About the Role As a Senior Business and Test Analyst, you will lead the business analysis and testing activities for a new Information Register project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful development and implementation of system requirements, business processes, and testing strategies for this critical initiative.Key Responsibilities Lead and manage business analysis activities, including requirements elicitation, process modelling, and data analysis for the project. Own and execute all requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Develop comprehensive business and software requirement specifications, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Design and execute test strategies, including functional, integration, and regression testing, defect management, and resolution tracking. Establish and enhance test automation frameworks, leveraging tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and RestAssured. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success. Document and maintain all business analysis and testing processes, results, and recommendations. Skills & Experience Essential: Proven experience in business analysis and testing within large-scale, complex ICT projects. Strong background in business process modelling (BPMN, Use Case development) and system analysis. Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, RestAssured). Experience in developing and executing test strategies, test plans, and test scripts. Ability to manage defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution within Agile environments. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of collaboration across IT and business teams. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments. Desirable: Knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies (BABOK 3.0). ANZTB/ISTQB Tester certifications (Foundation, Test Lead, etc.). Experience in Business Driven Testing (BDD) and Business Driven Development (BDD). 3–5 years of experience as a Test Analyst with exposure to end-to-end software testing lifecycle. Why Join Us?
