Job Description

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers. Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth. To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for an: Accounts Payable Accountant (6 months fixed term contract) As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, lead training sessions for new team members, and participate in global projects for process improvement and automation. Responsibilities: Timely process complex PO and non-PO invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. Prepare weekly payment runs for accounting management review. Review and resolve aged items reports. Analyze and clear the GRIR report. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve more complex process exceptions, tax queries, and general accounting day-to-day issues. Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes. Provide support and share process knowledge with junior peers. Conduct training sessions for new team members on AP processes and systems. Participate in global projects to identify improvements for automation and enhancement. Support system upgrades and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Your profile: Finance-focused background with relevant work experience of about 2 years in a similar position in an international company. Good understanding of accounting principles and AP processes. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word . Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills . Strong analytical skills and detail-orientation. Knowledge of SAP is preferred. Fluent in English both written and spoken. Willingness to learn and develop in an accounting environment. Team player eager to learn, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics would be preferred.
