APAC Business Development Manager (SOFC Technology Solutions) Our client is seeking an experienced senior business development professional to lead its expansion into the Asia Pacific region. This strategic role will focus on promoting the company’s advanced engineering technology solutions , specifically its solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology , to key markets, including South-East Asia, India, and Australia. The ideal candidate will drive growth, foster technology integration, and establish the company’s presence in the region. The organization is at the forefront of high-performance SOFC technology, offering innovative engineering solutions designed for sustainable energy generation, hydrogen production, and energy storage applications. Key Responsibilities Lead and implement the company’s expansion strategy across the APAC region, focusing on engineering and technology solutions. Identify and secure new business opportunities, partners, and customers, focusing on solutions where SOFC technology can be integrated. Lead negotiating and executing complex contracts with companies looking to implement SOFC-based technology solutions, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term growth objectives. Establish and develop partnerships with project developers, engineering companies, and EPCs across the region. Engage with government agencies to navigate regulatory landscapes, funding schemes, and local incentives across South-East Asia, India, and Australia. Represent the company at industry events and conferences and strengthen relationships with key industry players and stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with regional developments in energy, hydrogen, and storage technologies, including government policies and incentives. Work closely with the company’s global headquarters and local teams in China and Japan to align strategies, provide local insights, and ensure successful market penetration of the company’s engineering technology solutions. Ideal Candidate 15+ years in a business development or commercial role within Hydrogen, Syngas, Methanol, or Ammonia production sectors and a strong understanding of the APAC market. Strong track record of originating, negotiating, and closing deals related to engineering and technology solutions, with an emphasis on large-scale projects in hydrogen production, sustainable energy, or chemical industries. Strong knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory environments, and funding schemes across the APAC region. Proven ability to work with government bodies, EPCs, and engineering firms on large-scale projects. A background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is highly advantageous.
