About our team Group Manager Legal | Legal Strategy & Services | Practice Management Support Section. The Practice Management Support Section undertakes a range of non-legal tasks on behalf of the Legal Group such as coordinating and responding to subpoenas, managing claims for the return of seized goods, drafting court and tribunal documents, and undertaking a range of corporate activities including recruitment for the Legal Group. Our ideal candidate Supervising and monitoring the caseload of the team and resolving or escalating issues raised by staff Providing ongoing supervision and support to staff including developing their PDAs and conducting regular performance feedback sessions (Sydney only) Responding to telephone enquiries from internal and external stakeholders as required Developing and sustaining positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients Keeping the Supervisor informed of any potential issues or matters which may need to be referred to a lawyer for advice and/or action Exercising strong communication skills to liaise with departmental staff in Australia and overseas to recall relevant material. Duties and responsibilities Processing subpoenas, including complex subpoenas Coordination and ongoing support in relation to matters heard in the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) including compiling documents and preparing the statement required under section 23 of the ART Act Assisting with managing the accommodation needs of the Group, and other corporate services as required Liaising with external agencies regarding the production of departmental material in relation to subpoenas or disclosure obligations Management of the online legal research subscriptions for the Group, including the organisation of training as required.
