APS5 Communications Officer The Communications Officer will support the development and implementation of communication strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of the department's initiatives. This role involves creating and managing content for various communication channels, including the website, social media, and external communications. The officer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective messaging.Duties and Tasks Implement communication plans and strategies. Create and edit content for digital platforms and print materials. Support the production of reports, newsletters, and other publications, as well as speeches and talking points. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts. Required Skills and Knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in media, communications, or a related field. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms. The ideal candidate is a communicator with strong written and verbal abilities. They have experience in media relations, digital communication tools, or project management. This candidate is creative, strategic, and able to implement communication plans. They are collaborative, adaptable, and proactive, thriving in a team environment and taking initiative when needed.
