APS6 Senior Administration Officer About the Position Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and strategically focused senior administration officer with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to provide secretariat support in the governance and administrative functions of the department.The applicant will require excellent organisational skills, an ability to be flexible and proactive in approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff both within the Branch and across the ARC. This will involve confidently engaging with external and internal stakeholders and the Senior Executive. Contract Length 12 months Location ACT Eligibility Requirements Must be an Australian citizen Duties and Tasks Key duties include: Provide secretariat and operational support to the Board, its advisory committees, and the agency’s senior internal management committee. Work in a high-paced environment with tight and competing deadlines to deliver work to a high standard to meet the agency’s requirements. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Executive, senior managers, and external stakeholders. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, complete tasks, and prepare relevant briefing and reporting as required. Ensure the maintenance and records management of all Board and committee records and support the setting of forward agendas. Undertake a range of tasks including organising payment and reconciliation of invoices and accounts, arranging travel, and organising meetings and catering for those meetings and events. Required Skills and Knowledge Excellent judgement, strong attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple priorities and respond flexibly in a shifting work environment. Skilled organiser with demonstrated ability to manage committees, projects, and workloads with competing and changing priorities. Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build and sustain strong networks and relationships within the agency and with external stakeholders.
