APS6 Senior Regulatory Analyst $91,944 - $104,393 + 15.4% superannuation 12-month non-ongoing contract Hybrid and flexible work arrangements available Multiple locations (Adelaide, Albury, Brisbane, Canberra, Dubbo, Goondiwindi, Melbourne, Mildura, Sydney) About the role: As the Senior Regulatory Analyst you will report to the Assistant Director Performance Assurance. The Performance Assurance team examines whether relevant governments’ management of resources complies with the intent of relevant laws and that government agencies do what they have committed to do. In this role you will apply your expertise in research, analysis, critical reasoning and reporting. While you will be focused on a key project, you will also have the opportunity to work on other high priority matters. Key Responsibilities: Undertake research, collect information and analyse data with a view to forming findings and influencing change, and draft sections of reports. Research policy and legislative frameworks, past practices, developments on relevant matters, and other issues as relevant to the context of overseeing government water agencies. Formulate work plans to achieve assurance objectives and have impact. Lead, support and coordinate meetings with relevant government agencies on complex or sensitive matters. Prepare working papers, briefs and reports to the required quality standard, written in a clear, concise, evidenced and factual manner. Lead the presentation of your findings and evidence in workshops with the executives. To be successful in this role, you will: Strong analytical skills, with experience in gathering data and evaluating regulatory performance. Excellent communication skills, particularly with regards to report writing and building internal and external relationships. Sound understanding of legislation and government decision-making. The ability to manage projects and meet project milestones in required time-frames. Attention to detail and well-developed critical reasoning skills.
